Do you struggle with anxiety? Do you experience panic attacks or a constant sense of worry? In this workshop, we will explore how yoga can be a powerful vehicle for managing symptoms of stress and anxiety. Using the koshas (the layers of being) as our roadmap, we will use practical tools that can be practiced in daily life to manage anxiety, as well as deepen our yoga practice in a safe space with those who share similar experiences. This workshop will include both a physical asana practice as well as lecture, journaling, and optional thai yoga technique (hands on assisted stretching, traction, and compressions). Questions? Bonny Chipman is an E-RYT 500, Certified Accessible Yoga teacher, Reiki practitioner, and Integrated Movement Therapy intern. She has been teaching yoga for over a decade and offering her Yoga for Anxiety workshops and series for the past 6 years. Her personal experiences with chronic illness and anxiety fueled her desire to develop a program that offers accessible tools, rooted in yoga and movement therapy, to help manage anxiety and empower those who struggle with it.
