Looking for a yoga class that teaches you to move WITH your body, not IN SPITE of your body, through thoughtful movement and a broad array of options? If so, then Curvy Yoga is for you! In this 4 week series, we will explore our practice inclusive of our beautiful & bodacious curves. No flowery language, no condemnation for our shapes; only real talk and a loving embrace!
Curvy Yoga will teach you to:
Make peace with those parts of you that feel like a hurdle you needed to work around, experience the joy of practicing WITH everything you bring to the mat
Shed the self-criticism, making way for a healthy self-image and a renewed relationship with yoga
Utilize modifications for every shape and size, turning frustrating postures into nurturing, safe movement
Although this class is moderately active, every student is invited to move at their own pace without concern that they won’t be able “to keep up.” It is appropriate for students who are able to get up and down from the floor with ease on their own or with props (other than a chair or the wall), as there will be considerable movement from standing to floor. This three-week course costs $60. 12:30-2pm on Sunday Jan 7, 14, and 21.
