This 4 -week Therapeutic Yoga series is designed to support those with challenges in their hips and/or knees including: osteoarthritis, pre- or post- joint replacement, bursitis, injured tendons or ligaments and general pain and tension in the hips and knees. We will work on creating strength and stability to support the knee and hip joints as well as gentle stretching and hands-free massage to release overworked muscles. Each session will include yogic breathwork aimed at fostering relaxation for the body and the mind, anatomical education, and adaptations for your specific challenges. If you feel like you can’t go to a “regular” yoga class due to your hip or knee challenges, this series is for you! If you are looking for ways to adapt your current yoga practice to best support your hip or knee challenges, this series is for you! If you think you can’t “do yoga” due to knee or hip challenges, this class is for you!
Class size is limited in order to provide a personalized experience for each participant. Each participant will be asked to fill out an intake form before the first session. As a Yoga Therapist, Sarah cannot provide diagnoses, but she can work as a part of your healthcare team.

Sarah is a certified Yoga Therapist. Her 800 hours of Yoga Therapy training included specific education on the hip and knee joints, the muscles that support them, how to adapt yoga poses for individuals with a wide-range of hip and knee diagnoses, and how to use the tools of yoga beyond the physical practice of asana to support individuals with hip and knee challenges.
